Southwest River Watch is run by Tyler Webb, doing business as Zion Canyon Light. It has no accounts and asks for no personal information.

Analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which maps and features are used (for example, which river was opened or whether radar was turned on). Google may set cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details. We do not send your name, email or precise location. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or a content blocker.

Settings saved in your browser

A few preferences (radar on or off, side canyons on or off, hidden alerts) are stored in your browser's local storage so the map remembers them. They never leave your device.

Hosting and data requests

The Site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP addresses) to deliver and protect the Site. Map tiles, river data and alerts are loaded from Esri, USGS, the National Weather Service and the Iowa Environmental Mesonet, which receive ordinary web requests from your browser under their own policies.

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
